The door sweep’s construction of 85 % aluminum, reinforced with rubber, steel and brass delivers exceptional durability and corrosion resistance, while the clear anodized finish adds a sleek, low‑maintenance appearance. Its right‑hand standard, field‑reversible design and self‑leveling scissor‑drop action create a tight seal on uneven floors, effectively blocking drafts, noise and debris. The fire‑rated rating further enhances home safety, making it a reliable choice for long‑term performance.
The unit’s substantial aluminum construction makes it relatively heavy, which can be cumbersome to install on lightweight interior doors or on doors with limited clearance at the bottom. Because it is a right‑hand standard sweep, it may not be directly compatible with left‑hand opening doors without field reversal, and the fixed 42‑inch length limits use on wider openings. While the self‑leveling design tolerates minor floor unevenness, extreme floor variations can prevent the seal from achieving a consistent, airtight contact.
A robust, corrosion‑resistant door sweep that offers reliable sealing and fire‑rating benefits for most residential and commercial applications. Its weight and right‑hand orientation may limit use on lighter or left‑hand doors, but overall it delivers long‑term performance. Recommended for installations where durability and safety are priorities.
